The Gawler Barossa Oratorio Choir performed throughout the Barossa area, and as far afield as Adelaide and the Riverland. It also broadcast on radio.

The Gawler Male Voice Choir changed to the Gawler Orpheus in May 1928. The conductor was William Lloyd Dawkins.
